21 Jesus left that place and went away to the district of Tyre and Sidon. 21 Then Jesus went from that place and withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 21 And Jesus went out thence, and withdrew into the parts of Tyre and Sidon.21 Jesus left that place and withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 21 Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.
22 Just then a Canaanite woman from that region came out and started shouting, "Have mercy on me, Lord, Son of David; my daughter is tormented by a demon." 22 And behold, a Canaanite woman of that district came and called out, "Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is tormented by a demon." 22 And behold, a Canaanitish woman came out from those borders, and cried, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a demon.22 Then out came a Canaanite woman from that district and started shouting, "Sir, Son of David, take pity on me. My daughter is tormented by a devil."22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly."22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, [thou] Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
23 But he did not answer her at all. And his disciples came and urged him, saying, "Send her away, for she keeps shouting after us." 23 But he did not say a word in answer to her. His disciples came and asked him, "Send her away, for she keeps calling out after us." 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples went and pleaded with him. "Give her what she wants," they said, "because she is shouting after us." 23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, "Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us."23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24 He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." 24 He said in reply, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." 24 But he answered and said, I was not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.24 He said in reply, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel . " 24 He answered, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel."24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25 But she came and knelt before him, saying, "Lord, help me." 25 But the woman came and did him homage, saying, "Lord, help me." 25 But she came and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.25 But the woman had come up and was kneeling at his feet. "Lord," she said, "help me." 25 The woman came and knelt before him. "Lord, help me!" she said.25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26 He answered, "It is not fair to take the children's food and throw it to the dogs." 26 He said in reply, "It is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs." 26 And he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs.26 He replied, "It is not fair to take the children's food and throw it to the house dogs." 26 He replied, "It is not right to take the children's bread and toss it to the dogs."26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast [it] to dogs.
27 She said, "Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters' table." 27 She said, "Please, Lord, for even the dogs eat the scraps that fall from the table of their masters." 27 But she said, Yea, Lord: for even the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.27 She retorted, "Ah yes, sir; but even house dogs can eat the scraps that fall from their master's table." 27 "Yes it is, Lord," she said. "Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table."27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28 Then Jesus answered her, "Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish." And her daughter was healed instantly.28 Then Jesus said to her in reply, "O woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish." And her daughter was healed from that hour. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it done unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was healed from that hour.28 Then Jesus answered her, "Woman, you have great faith. Let your wish be granted." And from that moment her daughter was well again. 28 Then Jesus said to her, "Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted." And her daughter was healed at that moment.28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great [is] thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
