Numeral adjective tritos (third) in the Gospels-Acts

Matthew

16: 21From that time on, Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and undergo great suffering at the hands of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third (tritos) day be raised.
17: 23and they will kill him, and on the third (tritos) day he will be raised." And they were greatly distressed.
20: 3When he went out the third (tritos) hour, he saw others standing idle in the marketplace;
20: 19then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified; and on the third (tritos) day he will be raised."
22: 26The second did the same, so also the third (tritos), down to the seventh.
