The verbe synagō (to gather) in the New Testament

(Translation from NRSV for the New Testament with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)

Matthew

2: 4and gathering (synagō) all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Messiah was to be born.
3: 12His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and will gather (synagō) his wheat into the granary; but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire."
6: 26Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather (synagō) into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
12: 30Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather (synagō) with me scatters.
