Noun skotia (darkness) in the Gospels-Acts

(Translation from NRSV with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)

Matthew

10: 27What I say to you in the darkness (skotia), tell in the light; and what you hear whispered, proclaim from the housetops.

Luke

12: 3Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness (skotia) will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed from the housetops.

John

1: 5The light shines in the darkness (skotia), and the darkness (skotia) did not overcome it.
6: 17got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum. Darkness (skotia) has come, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
8: 12Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness (skotia) but will have the light of life."
12: 35Jesus said to them, "The light is with you for a little longer. Walk while you have the light, so that the darkness (skotia) may not overtake you. If you walk in the darkness (skotia), you do not know where you are going.

1 John

2: 9Whoever says, "I am in the light," while hating a brother or sister, is still in the darkness (skotia).
