Matthew

12: 1At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the sabbath (sabbaton); his disciples were hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.
12: 2When the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, "Look, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the sabbath (sabbaton)."
12: 5Or have you not read in the law that on the sabbath (sabbaton) the priests in the temple break the sabbath (sabbaton) and yet are guiltless?
12: 8For the Son of Man is lord of the sabbath (sabbaton)."
12: 10a man was there with a withered hand, and they asked him, "Is it lawful to cure on the sabbath (sabbaton)?" so that they might accuse him.
12: 11He said to them, "Suppose one of you has only one sheep and it falls into a pit on the sabbath (sabbaton); will you not lay hold of it and lift it out?
12: 12How much more valuable is a human being than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the sabbath (sabbaton)."

14: 3And Jesus asked the lawyers and Pharisees, "Is it lawful to cure people on the sabbath (sabbaton), or not?"
14: 5Then he said to them, "If one of you has a child or an ox that has fallen into a well, will you not immediately pull it out on a sabbath (sabbaton) day?"
18: 12I fast twice a week (sabbaton); I give a tenth of all my income.'

Acts

1: 12Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a sabbath (sabbaton) day's journey away.
13: 14but they went on from Perga and came to Antioch in Pisidia. And on the sabbath (sabbaton) day they went into the synagogue and sat down.
13: 27Because the residents of Jerusalem and their leaders did not recognize him or understand the words of the prophets that are read every sabbath (sabbaton), they fulfilled those words by condemning him.
