| 12: 35 | "Let your loins be girded (perizōnnymi) about and have your lamps lit; |
| 12: 37 | Blessed are those slaves whom the master finds alert when he comes; truly I tell you, he shall gird (perizōnnymi) himself and have them sit down to eat, and he will come and serve them. |
| 17: 8 | Would you not rather say to him, 'Prepare supper for me, gird (perizōnnymi) yourself and serve me while I eat and drink; later you may eat and drink'?
