Verb perisseuō (to abound) in the Gospels-Acts
(Translation from NRSV for the New Testament with a few modifications for a more litteral meaning)
Matthew
5: 20 | For I tell you, unless your righteousness abounds (perisseuō) more than of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. |
12: 34 | You brood of vipers! How can you speak good things, when you are evil? For out of heart abounding (perisseuō) the mouth speaks. |
13: 12 | For to those who have, more will be given, and they will abound (perisseuō); but from those who have nothing, even what they have will be taken away. |
14: 20 | And all ate and were filled; and they took up what was abounding (perisseuō) of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full. |
