Noun oneiros (dream) in the Bible

(Translation from Brenton for the Septuagint with a few modifications for a more litteral meaning)

Wisdom (LXX)

18: 17Then suddenly visions of horrible dreams (oneiros) troubled them sore, and terrors came upon them unlooked for.
18: 19For the dreams (oneiros) that troubled them did foreshew this, lest they should perish, and not know why they were afflicted.

2 Maccabees (LXX)

15: 11Thus he armed every one of them, not so much with defence of shields and spears, as with comfortable and good words: and beside that, he told them a dream (oneiros) worthy to be believed, as if it had been so indeed, which did not a little rejoice them.

4 Maccabees (LXX)

6: 5But Eleazar, the high-minded and truly noble, as one tortured in a dream (oneiros), regarded it not at all.
