(Translation from NRSV with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)
Matthew
| 14: 9 | The king was grieved (lypeō), yet out of regard for his oaths and for the guests, he commanded it to be given; |
| 17: 23 | and they will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised." And they were greatly grieved (lypeō). |
| 18: 31 | When his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were greatly grieved (lypeō), and they went and reported to their lord all that had taken place. |
| 19: 22 | When the young man heard this word, he went away grieving (lypeō), for he had many possessions. |
