(Translation from NRSV with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)

Matthew

1: 22All this took place in order to (hina) fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet:
2: 15and remained there until the death of Herod. This was in order to (hina) fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet, "Out of Egypt I have called my son."
4: 3The tempter came and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, say in order (hina) for these stones to become loaves of bread."
4: 14so that (hina) what had been spoken through the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled:
5: 29If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away; it is better for you that (hina) you lose one of your members than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
5: 30And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away; it is better for you that (hina) you lose one of your members than for your whole body to go into hell.

10: 25it is enough for the disciple that (hina) he be like the teacher, and the slave like the master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household!
12: 10a man was there with a withered hand, and they asked him, "Is it lawful to cure on the sabbath?" so that (hina) they might accuse him.
12: 16and he ordered them in order to (hina) not make him known.
12: 17in order to (hina) fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet Isaiah:

18: 6"If any of you put a stumbling block before one of these little ones who believe in me, it would be better for you that (hina) a great millstone be fastened around your neck and you be drowned in the depth of the sea.
18: 14So it is not the will of your Father in heaven that (hina) one of these little ones should be lost.
18: 16But if you are not listened to, take one or two others along with you, so that (hina) every word may be confirmed by the evidence of two or three witnesses.

24: 20Pray that (hina) your flight may not be in winter or on a sabbath.

26: 41Stay awake and pray that (hina) you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
26: 56But all this has taken place, so that (hina) the scriptures of the prophets may be fulfilled." Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.
26: 63But Jesus was silent. Then the high priest said to him, "I put you under oath before the living God, tell us that (hina) you are the Messiah, the Son of God."
27: 20Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds in order to (hina) ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus killed.

14: 38Keep awake and pray that (hina) you may not come into the time of trial; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
14: 49Day after day I was with you in the temple teaching, and you did not arrest me. But this is in order that (hina) the scriptures be fulfilled."
15: 11But the chief priests stirred up the crowd in order to (hina) have him release Barabbas for them instead.
15: 15So Pilate, wishing to satisfy the crowd, released Barabbas for them; and after flogging Jesus, he handed him over in order to (hina) be crucified.
15: 20After mocking him, they stripped him of the purple cloak and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out in order to (hina) crucify him.

4: 3The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command this stone in order to (hina) become a loaf of bread."

6: 7The scribes and the Pharisees watched him to see whether he would cure on the sabbath, so that (hina) they might find an accusation against him.
6: 31And as you want that (hina) the men do to you, do to them likewise.
6: 34If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, in order to (hina) receive as much again.
7: 6And Jesus went with them, but when he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to say to him, "Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy that (hina) you come under my roof;
7: 36One of the Pharisees asked Jesus in order to (hina) eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee's house and took his place at the table.
8: 10He said, "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God; but to others I speak in parables, so that (hina) 'looking they may not perceive, and listening they may not understand.'
8: 12The ones on the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that (hina) they may not believe and be saved.
8: 16"No one after lighting a lamp hides it under a jar, or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a lampstand, so that (hina) those who enter may see the light.
8: 31They begged him in order to (hina) not to be back into the abyss.
8: 32Now there on the hillside a large herd of swine was feeding; and the demons begged Jesus in order to (hina) let them enter these. So he gave them permission.
9: 12The day was drawing to a close, and the twelve came to him and said, "Send the crowd away, so that (hina) they may go into the surrounding villages and countryside, to lodge and get provisions; for we are here in a deserted place."
9: 40I begged your disciples in order to (hina) cast it out, but they could not."
9: 45But they did not understand this saying; its meaning was concealed from them, so that (hina) they could not perceive it. And they were afraid to ask him about this saying.
10: 40But Martha was distracted by her many tasks; so she came to him and asked, "Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her then in order to (hina) help me."
11: 33"No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar, but on the lampstand so that (hina) those who enter may see the light.
11: 50so that (hina) this generation may be charged with the blood of all the prophets shed since the foundation of the world,
12: 36be like those who are waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet, so that (hina) they may open the door for him as soon as he comes and knocks.
14: 10But when you are invited, go and sit down at the lowest place, so that (hina) when your host comes, he may say to you, 'Friend, move up higher'; then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at the table with you.
14: 23Then the master said to the slave, 'Go out into the roads and lanes, and compel people to come in, so that (hina) my house may be filled.
14: 29In order that (hina), when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it will not begin to ridicule him,
15: 29But he answered his father, 'Listen! For all these years I have been working like a slave for you, and I have never disobeyed your command; yet you have never given me even a young goat so that (hina) I might celebrate with my friends.
16: 4I have decided what to do so that (hina), when I am dismissed as manager, people may welcome me into their homes.'
16: 9And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of dishonest wealth so that (hina) when it is gone, they may welcome you into the eternal homes.
16: 24He called out, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus in order to (hina) dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am in agony in these flames.'
16: 27He said, 'Then, father, I beg you in order to (hina) send him to my father's house -
16: 28for I have five brothers - that he may warn them, so that (hina) they will not also come into this place of torment.'
17: 2It would be better for you if a millstone were hung around your neck and you were thrown into the sea than (hina) for you to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
18: 5yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will grant her justice, so that (hina) she may not wear me out by continually coming.'"
18: 15People were bringing even infants to him that (hina) he might touch them; and when the disciples saw it, they sternly ordered them not to do it.
18: 39Those who were in front sternly ordered him in order to (hina) be quiet; but he shouted even more loudly, "Son of David, have mercy on me!"
18: 41"What do you want me to do for you?" He said, "Lord, that (hina) I may see again."
19: 4So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree in order to (hina) see him, because he was going to pass that way.
19: 15When he returned, having received royal power, he ordered these slaves, to whom he had given the money, to be summoned so that (hina) he might find out what they had gained by trading.
20: 10When the season came, he sent a slave to the tenants in order that (hina) they might give him his share of the produce of the vineyard; but the tenants beat him and sent him away empty-handed.
20: 14But when the tenants saw him, they discussed it among themselves and said, 'This is the heir; let us kill him so that (hina) the inheritance may be ours.'
20: 20So they watched him and sent spies who pretended to be honest, in order to (hina) trap him by what he said, so as to hand him over to the jurisdiction and authority of the governor.
20: 28and asked him a question, "Teacher, Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies, leaving a wife but no children, that (hina) the man should marry the widow and raise up children for his brother.
21: 36Be alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength in order to (hina) escape all these things that will take place, and to stand before the Son of Man."
22: 8So Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare the Passover meal for us so that (hina) we may eat it."
22: 30so that (hina) you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
22: 32but I have prayed for you so that (hina) your own faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned back, strengthen your brothers."
22: 46and he said to them, "Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that (hina) you may not come into the time of trial."

John

1: 7He came as a witness in order to (hina) testify to the light, so that (hina) all might believe through him.
1: 8He himself was not the light, but he came in order to (hina) testify to the light.
1: 19This is the testimony given by John when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem in order to (hina) ask him, "Who are you?"
1: 22Then they said to him, "Who are you? In order to (hina) have an answer for those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?"
1: 27the one who is coming after me; I am not worthy that (hina) I could untie the thong of his sandal."
1: 31I myself did not know him; but I came baptizing with water for this reason, that (hina) he might be revealed to Israel."
2: 25and needed no one in order to (hina) testify about anyone; for he himself knew what was in everyone.
3: 15so that (hina) whoever believes in him may have eternal life.
3: 16"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that (hina) everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
3: 17"Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world in order to (hina) condemn the world, but in order that (hina) the world might be saved through him.
3: 20For all who do evil hate the light and do not come to the light, so that (hina) their deeds may not be exposed.
3: 21But those who do what is true come to the light, so that (hina) it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God."
4: 8(His disciples had gone to the city in order to (hina) buy food.)
4: 15The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water, so that (hina) I may never be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water."
4: 34Jesus said to them, "My food is that (hina) I do the will of him who sent me and to complete his work.
4: 36The reaper is already receiving wages and is gathering fruit for eternal life, so that (hina) sower and reaper may rejoice together.
4: 47When he heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went and begged him in order to (hina) come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.
5: 7The sick man answered him, "Sir, I have no one in order to (hina) put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; and while I am making my way, someone else steps down ahead of me."
5: 14Later Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, "See, you have been made well! Do not sin any more, so that (hina) nothing worse happens to you."
5: 20The Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing; and he will show him greater works than these, so that (hina) you will be astonished.
5: 23so that (hina) all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Anyone who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.
5: 34Not that I accept such human testimony, but I say these things so that (hina) you may be saved.
5: 36But I have a testimony greater than John's. The works that the Father has given me in order to (hina) complete them, the very works that I am doing, testify on my behalf that the Father has sent me.
5: 40Yet you refuse to come in order to (hina) me to have life.
6: 5When he looked up and saw a large crowd coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, "Where are we to buy bread in order that (hina) these people could eat?"
6: 7Philip answered him, "Six months' wages would not buy enough bread for each of them in order to (hina) get a little."
6: 12When they were satisfied, he told his disciples, "Gather up the fragments left over, so that (hina) nothing may be lost."
6: 15When Jesus realized that they were about to come and take him by force in order to (hina) make him king, he withdrew again to the mountain by himself.
6: 28Then they said to him, "What must we do in order to (hina) perform the works of God?"
6: 29Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that (hina) you believe in him whom he has sent."
6: 30So they said to him, "What sign are you going to give us then, so that (hina) we may see it and believe you? What work are you performing?
6: 38for I have come down from heaven, not in order to (hina) do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.
6: 39And this is the will of him who sent me, that (hina) I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.
6: 40This is indeed the will of my Father, that (hina) all who see the Son and believe in him may have eternal life; and I will raise them up on the last day."
6: 50This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that (hina) one may eat of it and not die.
7: 3So his brothers said to him, "Leave here and go to Judea so that (hina) your disciples also may see the works you are doing;
7: 23If a man receives circumcision on the sabbath in order that (hina) the law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with me because I healed a man's whole body on the sabbath?
7: 32The Pharisees heard the crowd muttering such things about him, and the chief priests and Pharisees sent temple police in order to (hina) arrest him.
8: 6They said this to test him, so that (hina) they might have some charge to bring against him. Jesus bent down and wrote with his finger on the ground.
8: 56Your ancestor Abraham rejoiced that (hina) he would see my day; he saw it and was glad."
8: 59So they picked up stones in order to (hina) throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.
9: 2His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that (hina) he was born blind?"
9: 3Jesus answered, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned; he was born blind so that (hina) God's works might be revealed in him.
9: 22His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that (hina) anyone who confessed Jesus to be the Messiah would be put out of the synagogue.
9: 36He answered, "And who is he, sir? Tell me, so that (hina) I may believe in him."
9: 39Jesus said, "I came into this world for judgment so that (hina) those who do not see may see, and those who do see may become blind."
10: 10The thief does not come, if not in order to (hina) steal and kill and destroy. I came in order that (hina) they may have life, and have it abundantly.
10: 17For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to (hina) take it up again.
10: 31The Jews took up stones again in order to (hina) stone him.
10: 38But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, so that (hina) you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father."
11: 4But when Jesus heard it, he said, "This illness does not lead to death; rather it is for God's glory, so that (hina) the Son of God may be glorified through it."
11: 11After saying this, he told them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going there in order to (hina) awaken him."
11: 15For your sake I am glad I was not there, so that (hina) you may believe. But let us go to him."
11: 16Thomas, who was called the Twin, said to his fellow disciples, "Let us also go, in order that (hina) we may die with him."
11: 19and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary in order to (hina) console them about their brother.
11: 31The Jews who were with her in the house, consoling her, saw Mary get up quickly and go out. They followed her because they thought that she was going to the tomb in order to (hina) weep there.
11: 37But some of them said, "Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man do something in order to (hina) keep this man from dying?"
11: 42I knew that you always hear me, but I have said this for the sake of the crowd standing here, so that (hina) they may believe that you sent me."
11: 50You do not understand that it is better for you in order to (hina) have one man die for the people than to have the whole nation destroyed."
11: 52and not for the nation only, but in order to (hina) gather into one the dispersed children of God.
11: 53So from that day on they planned in order to (hina) put him to death.
11: 55Now the Passover of the Jews was near, and many went up from the country to Jerusalem before the Passover in order to (hina) purify themselves.
11: 57Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that anyone who knew where Jesus was should let them know, so that (hina) they might arrest him.
12: 7Jesus said, "Leave her alone. She bought it so that (hina) she might keep it for the day of my burial.
12: 9When the great crowd of the Jews learned that he was there, they came not only because of Jesus but also in order to (hina) see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.
12: 10So the chief priests planned in order to (hina) put Lazarus to death as well,
12: 20Now among those who went up in order to (hina) worship at the festival were some Greeks.
12: 23Jesus answered them, "The hour has come for the Son of Man in order to (hina) be glorified.
12: 35Jesus said to them, "The light is with you for a little longer. Walk while you have the light, so that (hina) the darkness may not overtake you. If you walk in the darkness, you do not know where you are going.
12: 36While you have the light, believe in the light, so that (hina) you may become children of light." After Jesus had said this, he departed and hid from them.
12: 38In order to (hina) fulfill the word spoken by the prophet Isaiah: "Lord, who has believed our message, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?"
12: 40"He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that (hina) they might not look with their eyes, and understand with their heart and turn - and I would heal them."
12: 42Nevertheless many, even of the authorities, believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, for fear so that (hina) they would be put out of the synagogue;
12: 46I have come as light into the world, so that (hina) everyone who believes in me should not remain in the darkness.
12: 47I do not judge anyone who hears my words and does not keep them, for I came in order to (hina) not judge the world, but in order to (hina) save the world.
13: 1Now before the festival of the Passover, Jesus knew that his hour had come in order to (hina) depart from this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
13: 2The devil had already put it into the heart of Judas son of Simon Iscariot in order to (hina) betray him. And during supper
13: 15For I have set you an example, that (hina) you also should do as I have done to you.
13: 18I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But it is in order to (hina) fulfill the scripture, 'The one who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.'
13: 19I tell you this now, before it occurs, so that (hina) when it does occur, you may believe that I am he.
13: 29Some thought that, because Judas had the common purse, Jesus was telling him, "Buy what we need for the festival"; or, that (hina) he should give something to the poor.
13: 34I give you a new commandment, that (hina) you love one another. Just as I have loved you, that (hina) you also should love one another.
14: 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that (hina) where I am, there you may be also.
14: 13I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that (hina) the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14: 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, in order to (hina) be with you forever.
14: 29And now I have told you this before it occurs, so that (hina) when it does occur, you may believe.
14: 31but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that (hina) the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us be on our way.
15: 2He removes every branch in me that bears no fruit. Every branch that bears fruit he prunes it in order to (hina) make it bear more fruit.
15: 8My Father is glorified by this, that (hina) you bear much fruit and become my disciples.
15: 11I have said these things to you so that (hina) my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete.
15: 12"This is my commandment, that (hina) you love one another as I have loved you.
15: 13No one has greater love than (hina) this, to lay down one's life for one's friends.
15: 16You did not choose me but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that (hina) will last, so that (hina) the Father will give you whatever you ask him in my name.
15: 17I am giving you these commands so that (hina) you may love one another.
15: 25It was in order to (hina) fulfill the word that is written in their law, 'They hated me without a cause.'
16: 1"I have said these things to you in order to (hina) keep you from stumbling.
16: 2They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, an hour is coming in order that (hina) those who kill you will think that by doing so they are offering worship to God.
16: 4But I have said these things to you so that (hina) when their hour comes you may remember that I told you about them. "I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you.
16: 7Nevertheless I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that (hina) I go away, for if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.
16: 24Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that (hina) your joy may be complete.
16: 30Now we know that you know all things, and do not need that (hina) anyone question you; by this we believe that you came from God."
16: 32The hour is coming, indeed it has come, so that (hina) you will be scattered, each one to his home, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me.
16: 33I have said this to you, so that (hina) in me you may have peace. In the world you face persecution. But take courage; I have conquered the world!"
17: 1After Jesus had spoken these words, he looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son so that (hina) the Son may glorify you,
17: 2since you have given him authority over all people, in order to (hina) give eternal life to all whom you have given him.
17: 3And this is eternal life, that (hina) they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
17: 4I glorified you on earth by finishing the work that you gave me in order that (hina) I do it.
17: 11And now I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them in your name that you have given me, so that (hina) they may be one, as we are one.
17: 12While I was with them, I protected them in your name that you have given me. I guarded them, and not one of them was lost except the one destined to be lost, so that (hina) the scripture might be fulfilled.
17: 13But now I am coming to you, and I speak these things in the world so that (hina) they may have my joy made complete in themselves.
17: 15I am not asking you in order to (hina) take them out of the world, but I ask you in order to (hina) protect them from the evil one.
17: 19And for their sakes I sanctify myself, so that (hina) they also may be sanctified in truth.
17: 21that (hina) they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, that (hina) they also be in us, so that (hina) the world may believe that you have sent me.
17: 22The glory that you have given me I have given them, so that (hina) they may be one, as we are one,
17: 23I in them and you in me, that (hina) they may become completely one, so that (hina) the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
17: 24Father, I desire that (hina) those also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, in order to (hina) see my glory, which you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world.
17: 26I made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that (hina) the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them."
18: 9in order to (hina) fulfill the word that he had spoken, "I did not lose a single one of those whom you gave me."
18: 28Then they took Jesus from Caiaphas to Pilate's headquarters. It was early in the morning. They themselves did not enter the headquarters, in order to (hina) avoid ritual defilement and to be able to eat the Passover.
18: 32(This was in order to (hina) fulfill what Jesus had said when he indicated the kind of death he was to die.)
18: 36Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not from this world. If my kingdom were from this world, my followers would be fighting in order to (hina) keep me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, my kingdom is not from here."
18: 37Pilate asked him, "So you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. For this I was born, and for this I came into the world, in order to (hina) testify to the truth. Everyone who belongs to the truth listens to my voice."
18: 39But you have a custom that (hina) I release someone for you at the Passover. Do you want me to release for you the King of the Jews?"
19: 4Pilate went out again and said to them, "Look, I am bringing him out to you in order to (hina) let you know that I find no case against him."
19: 16Then he handed him over in order to (hina) them to be crucified. So they took Jesus;
19: 24So they said to one another, "Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to see who will get it." This was in order to (hina) fulfill what the scripture says, "They divided my clothes among themselves, and for my clothing they cast lots."
19: 28After this, when Jesus knew that all was now finished, he said (in order to (hina) fulfill the scripture), "I am thirsty."
19: 31Since it was the day of Preparation, the Jews, in order (hina) for the bodies not to be left on the cross during the sabbath, especially because that sabbath was a day of great solemnity, asked Pilate in order to (hina) have the legs of the crucified men broken and the bodies removed.
19: 35(He who saw this has testified so that (hina) you also may believe. His testimony is true, and he knows that he tells the truth.)
19: 36These things occurred so that (hina) the scripture might be fulfilled, "None of his bones shall be broken."
19: 38After these things, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, though a secret one because of his fear of the Jews, asked Pilate in order to (hina) let him take away the body of Jesus. Pilate gave him permission; so he came and removed his body.
20: 31But these are written so that (hina) you may come to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and so that (hina) through believing you may have life in his name.

Acts

2: 25For David says concerning him, 'I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand so that (hina) I will not be shaken;
4: 17But in order to (hina) keep it from spreading further among the people, let us warn them to speak no more to anyone in this name."
5: 15as they even carried out the sick into the streets, and laid them on cots and mats, in order that (hina) Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he came by.
8: 19saying, "Give me also this power so that (hina) anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit."
9: 21All who heard him were amazed and said, "Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem among those who invoked this name? And has he not come here in order to (hina) bring them bound before the chief priests?"
16: 30Then he brought them outside and said, "Sirs, what must I do in order to (hina) be saved?"
16: 36And the jailer reported the message to Paul, saying, "The magistrates sent word in order to (hina) let you go; therefore come out now and go in peace."
17: 15Those who conducted Paul brought him as far as Athens; and after receiving instructions in order to (hina) have Silas and Timothy join him as soon as possible, they left him.
19: 4Paul said, "John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people in order to (hina) believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, in Jesus."
21: 24Join these men, go through the rite of purification with them, and pay in order to (hina) shave their heads. Thus all will know that there is nothing in what they have been told about you, but that you yourself observe and guard the law.
22: 5as the high priest and the whole council of elders can testify about me. From them I also received letters to the brothers in Damascus, and I went there to bind those who were there and to bring them back to Jerusalem in order that (hina) whey would be punished.
22: 24the tribune directed that he was to be brought into the barracks, and ordered him to be examined by flogging, in order to (hina) find out the reason for this outcry against him.
23: 24Also provide mounts in order (hina) for Paul to ride, and take him safely to Felix the governor."
24: 4But, in order to (hina) detain you no further, I beg you to hear us briefly with your customary graciousness.
27: 42The soldiers' plan was to kill the prisoners, so that (hina) none might swim away and escape;

1 John

1: 3we declare to you what we have seen and heard so that (hina) you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.
1: 4We are writing these things so that (hina) our joy may be complete.
1: 9If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just, in order that (hina) he forgives us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
2: 1My little children, I am writing these things to you so that (hina) you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;
2: 19They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. But by going out they made it plain that (hina) none of them belongs to us.
2: 27As for you, the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and so you do not need anyone in order to (hina) teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, abide in him.
2: 28And now, little children, abide in him, so that (hina) when he is revealed we may have confidence and not be put to shame before him at his coming.
3: 1See what love the Father has given us, that (hina) we should be called children of God; and that is what we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
3: 5You know that he was revealed in order to (hina) take away sins, and in him there is no sin.
3: 8Everyone who commits sin is a child of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed in order to (hina) destroy the works of the devil.
3: 11For this is the message you have heard from the beginning, that (hina) we should love one another.
3: 23And this is his commandment, that (hina) we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us.
4: 9God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that (hina) we might live through him.
4: 17Love has been perfected among us in this: that (hina) we may have boldness on the day of judgment, because as he is, so are we in this world.
4: 21The commandment we have from him is this: that (hina) those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.
5: 3For the love of God is this, that (hina) we obey his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome,
5: 13I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that (hina) you may know that you have eternal life.
5: 16If you see your brother or sister committing what is not a mortal sin, you will ask, and God will give life to such a one - to those whose sin is not mortal. There is sin that is mortal; I do not say that (hina) you should pray about that.
5: 20And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that (hina) we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

2 John

1: 5But now, dear lady, I ask you, not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but one we have had from the beginning, that (hina) we love one another.
1: 6And this is love, that (hina) we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment just as you have heard it from the beginning, that (hina) you walk in it.
1: 8Be on your guard, so that (hina) you do not lose what we have worked for, but may receive a full reward.
1: 12Although I have much to write to you, I would rather not use paper and ink; instead I hope to come to you and talk with you face to face, so that (hina) our joy may be complete.

3 John

1: 4I have no greater joy than (hina) this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
1: 8Therefore we ought to support such people, so that (hina) we may become co-workers with the truth.
