| 11: 30 | For just as Jonah became (ginomai) a sign to the people of Nineveh, so the Son of Man will be to this generation. |
| 12: 40 | You also must become (ginomai) ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour." |
| 12: 54 | He also said to the crowds, "When you see a cloud rising in the west, you immediately say, 'It is going to rain'; and so it happens (ginomai). |
| 12: 55 | And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, 'There will be scorching heat'; and it happens (ginomai). |
| 13: 2 | He asked them, "Do you think that these Galileans suffered in this way because they became (ginomai) worse sinners than all other Galileans? |
| 13: 4 | Or those eighteen who were killed when the tower of Siloam fell on them - do you think that they became (ginomai) worse offenders than all the others living in Jerusalem? |
| 13: 17 | When he said this, all his opponents were put to shame; and the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things that were happening (ginomai) through him. |
| 13: 19 | It is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in the garden; it grew and became (ginomai) a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches." |
| 14: 1 | It came to pass (ginomai) that on one occasion when Jesus was going to the house of a leader of the Pharisees to eat a meal on the sabbath, they were watching him closely. |
| 14: 12 | He said also to the one who had invited him, "When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, in case they may invite you in return, and the same would happen (ginomai) to you. |
| 14: 22 | And the slave said, 'Sir, what you ordered has been done (ginomai), and there is still room.' |
| 15: 10 | Just so, I tell you, joy comes to pass (ginomai) in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." |
| 15: 14 | When he had spent everything, a severe famine took place (ginomai) throughout that country, and he began to be in need. |
| 16: 11 | If then you have not become (ginomai) faithful with the dishonest wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? |
| 16: 12 | And if you have not become (ginomai) faithful with what belongs to another, who will give you what is your own? |
| 16: 22 | It came to pass (ginomai) that the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried. |
| 17: 11 | It came to pass (ginomai) that on the way to Jerusalem Jesus was going through the region between Samaria and Galilee. |
| 17: 14 | When he saw them, he said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." And it came to pass (ginomai) that as they went, they were made clean. |
| 17: 26 | It came to pass (ginomai) that just as it was in the days of Noah, so too it will be in the days of the Son of Man. |
| 17: 28 | Likewise, just as it came to pass (ginomai) in the days of Lot: they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, |
| 18: 23 | But when he heard this, he became (ginomai) sad; for he was very rich. |
| 18: 24 | Looking at him [having become (ginomai) sad] Jesus said, "How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God! |
| 18: 35 | It came to pass (ginomai) that, as he approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. |
| 19: 9 | Then Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come (ginomai) to this house, because he too is a son of Abraham. |
| 19: 15 | It came to pass (ginomai) that, when he returned, having received royal power, he ordered these slaves, to whom he had given the money, to be summoned so that he might find out what they had gained by trading. |
| 19: 17 | He said to him, 'Well done, good slave! Because you have become (ginomai) trustworthy in a very small thing, take charge of ten cities.' |
| 19: 19 | He said to him, 'And you, become (ginomai) a ruler over five cities.' |
| 19: 29 | It came to pass (ginomai) that, when he had come near Bethphage and Bethany, at the place called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of the disciples, |
| 20: 1 | It came to pass (ginomai) that one day, as he was teaching the people in the temple and telling the good news, the chief priests and the scribes came with the elders |
| 20: 14 | But when the tenants saw him, they discussed it among themselves and said, 'This is the heir; let us kill him so that the inheritance may become (ginomai) ours.' |
| 20: 16 | He will come and destroy those tenants and give the vineyard to others." When they heard this, they said, "This should not happen (ginomai)!" |
| 20: 17 | But he looked at them and said, "What then does this text mean: 'The stone that the builders rejected has become (ginomai) the cornerstone'? |
| 20: 33 | In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife will the woman become (ginomai)? For the seven had married her." |
| 21: 7 | They asked him, "Teacher, when will this be, and what will be the sign that this is about to take place (ginomai)?" |
| 21: 9 | "When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for these things must take place (ginomai) first, but the end will not follow immediately." |
| 21: 28 | Now when these things begin to take place (ginomai), stand up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." |
| 21: 31 | So also, when you see these things taking place (ginomai), you know that the kingdom of God is near. |
| 21: 32 | Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all things have taken place (ginomai). |
| 21: 36 | Be alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that will take place (ginomai), and to stand before the Son of Man." |
| 22: 14 | When the hour came (ginomai), he took his place at the table, and the apostles with him. |
| 22: 24 | It came to pass (ginomai) that a dispute also arose among them as to which one of them was to be regarded as the greatest. |
| 22: 26 | But not so with you; rather the greatest among you must become (ginomai) like the youngest, and the leader like one who serves. |
| 22: 40 | Having come (ginomai) at the place, he said to them, "Pray that you may not come into the time of trial." |
| 22: 42 | "Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me; yet, not my will but yours be done (ginomai)." |
| 22: 44 | In his anguish he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became (ginomai) like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.]] |
| 22: 44 | In his anguish he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became (ginomai) like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.]] |
| 22: 66 | When day came (ginomai), the assembly of the elders of the people, both chief priests and scribes, gathered together, and they brought him to their council. |
| 23: 8 | When Herod saw Jesus, he was very glad, for he had been wanting to see him for a long time, because he had heard about him and was hoping to see some sign taking place (ginomai) through him. |
| 23: 12 | That same day Herod and Pilate became (ginomai) friends with each other; before this they had been enemies. |
| 23: 19 | (This was a man who had been put in prison for an insurrection that had taken place (ginomai) in the city, and for murder.) |
| 23: 24 | So Pilate gave his verdict that their demand should take place (ginomai). |
| 23: 31 | For if they do this when the wood is green, what will happen (ginomai) when it is dry?" |
| 23: 44 | It was now about noon, and darkness came (ginomai) over the whole land until three in the afternoon, |
| 23: 47 | When the centurion saw what had taken place, (ginomai) he praised God and said, "Certainly this man was innocent." |
| 23: 48 | And when all the crowds who had gathered there for this spectacle saw what had taken place (ginomai), they returned home, beating their breasts. |
| 24: 4 | It came to pass (ginomai) while they were perplexed about this, suddenly two men in dazzling clothes stood beside them. |
| 24: 5 | Having become (ginomai) terrified, the women bowed their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen. |
| 24: 12 | But Peter got up and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths by themselves; then he went home, amazed at what had happened (ginomai). |
| 24: 15 | It came to pass (ginomai) while they were talking and discussing, Jesus himself came near and went with them, |
| 24: 18 | Then one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answered him, "Are you the only stranger in Jerusalem who does not know the things that have taken place (ginomai) there in these days?" |
| 24: 19 | He asked them, "What things?" They replied, "The things about Jesus of Nazareth, who became (ginomai) a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, |
| 24: 21 | But we had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things took place (ginomai). |
| 24: 22 | Moreover, some women of our group astounded us. Having come (ginomai) early in the morning at the tomb, |
| 24: 30 | It came to pass (ginomai) when he was at the table with them, he took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. |
| 24: 31 | Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him; and he became (ginomai) invisible from their sight. |
| 24: 37 | Having become (ginomai) startled and terrified, they thought that they were seeing a ghost. |
| 24: 51 | It came to pass (ginomai), while he was blessing them, he withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven. |
John
| 1: 3 | All things came into being (ginomai) through him, and without him not one thing came into being (ginomai). What has come into being (ginomai) |
| 1: 6 | There appear (ginomai) a man sent from God, whose name was John. |
| 1: 10 | He was in the world, and the world came into being (ginomai) through him; yet the world did not know him. |
| 1: 12 | But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become (ginomai) children of God, |
| 1: 14 | And the Word became (ginomai) flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father's only son, full of grace and truth. |
| 1: 15 | (John testified to him and cried out, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who appears (ginomai) after me ranks ahead of me because he was before me.'") |
| 1: 17 | The law indeed was given through Moses; grace and truth appeared (ginomai) through Jesus Christ. |
| 1: 28 | This took place (ginomai) in Bethany across the Jordan where John was baptizing. |
| 1: 30 | This is he of whom I said, 'After me comes a man who appeared (ginomai) ahead of me because he was before me.' |
| 2: 1 | On the third day a wedding took place (ginomai) in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. |
| 2: 9 | When the steward tasted the water that had become (ginomai) wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the steward called the bridegroom |
| 3: 9 | Nicodemus said to him, "How can these things happen (ginomai)?" |
| 3: 25 | Now a discussion about purification arose (ginomai) between John's disciples and a Jew. |
| 4: 14 | but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become (ginomai) in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life." |
| 5: 6 | When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been there a long time, he said to him, "Do you want to become (ginomai) well?" |
| 5: 9 | At once the man became (ginomai) well, and he took up his mat and began to walk. Now that day was a sabbath. |
| 5: 14 | Later Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, "See, you have been made well! Do not sin any more, so that nothing worse happens (ginomai) to you." |
| 5: 14 | Later Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, "See, you have become (ginomai) well! Do not sin any more, so that nothing worse happens to you." |
| 6: 16 | When evening was come (ginomai), his disciples went down to the sea, |
| 6: 17 | got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum. And now darkness was come (ginomai), and Jesus had not yet come to them. |
| 6: 19 | When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming (ginomai) near the boat, and they were terrified. |
| 6: 21 | Then they wanted to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat came (ginomai) on the land toward which they were going. |
| 6: 25 | When they found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, "Rabbi, when did you come (ginomai) here?" |
| 7: 43 | So a division took place (ginomai) in the crowd because of him. |
| 8: 33 | They answered him, "We are descendants of Abraham and have never been slaves to anyone. What do you mean by saying, 'You will become (ginomai) free'?" |
| 8: 58 | Jesus said to them, "Very truly, I tell you, before Abraham appeared (ginomai), I am." |
| 9: 22 | His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that anyone who confessed Jesus to be the Messiah would become (ginomai) excluded of the synagogue. |
| 9: 27 | He answered them, "I have told you already, and you would not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you also want to become (ginomai) his disciples?" |
| 9: 39 | Jesus said, "I came into this world for judgment so that those who do not see may see, and those who do see may become (ginomai) blind." |
| 10: 16 | I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So they will become (ginomai) one flock, one shepherd. |
| 10: 19 | Again a division took place (ginomai) among the Jews because of these words. |
| 10: 22 | Then it came to pass (ginomai) the festival of the Dedication in Jerusalem. It was winter, |
| 10: 35 | If those to whom the word of God came (ginomai) were called 'gods' - and the scripture cannot be annulled - |
| 12: 29 | The crowd standing there heard it and said that a thunder took place (ginomai). Others said, "An angel has spoken to him." |
| 12: 30 | Jesus answered, "This voice has come (ginomai) for your sake, not for mine. |
| 12: 36 | While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become (ginomai) children of light." After Jesus had said this, he departed and hid from them. |
| 12: 42 | Nevertheless many, even of the authorities, believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, for fear that they would become (ginomai) excluded of the synagogue; |
| 13: 2 | And supper having come (ginomai), the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas son of Simon Iscariot to betray him. |
| 13: 19 | I tell you this now, before it happens (ginomai), so that when it does happen (ginomai), you may believe that I am he. |
| 14: 22 | Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, "Lord, how his happened (ginomai) that you will reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?" |
| 14: 29 | And now I have told you this before it happens (ginomai), so that when it does occur, you may believe. |
| 14: 29 | And now I have told you this before it happens (ginomai), so that when it does occur, you may believe. |
| 15: 7 | If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done (ginomai) for you. |
| 15: 8 | My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become (ginomai) my disciples. |
| 16: 20 | Very truly, I tell you, you will weep and mourn, but the world will rejoice; you will have pain, but your pain will become (ginomai) joy. |
| 19: 36 | These things took place (ginomai) so that the scripture might be fulfilled, "None of his bones shall be broken." |
| 20: 27 | Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here and see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it in my side. Do not become (ginomai) an unbeliever but a believer." |
| 21: 4 | Morning having come (ginomai) already, Jesus stood on the beach; but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. |
Acts
| 1: 16 | "Friends, the scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit through David foretold concerning Judas, having become (ginomai) a guide for those who arrested Jesus - |
| 1: 18 | (Now this man acquired a field with the reward of his wickedness; and headlong (fall) happening (ginomai), he burst open in the middle and all his bowels gushed out. |
| 1: 19 | This became (ginomai) known to all the residents of Jerusalem, so that the field was called in their language Hakeldama, that is, Field of Blood.) |
| 1: 20 | "For it is written in the book of Psalms, 'Let his homestead become (ginomai) desolate, and let there be no one to live in it'; and 'Let another take his position of overseer.' |
| 1: 22 | beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us - one of these must become (ginomai) a witness with us to his resurrection." |
| 2: 2 | And suddenly from heaven a sound like the rush of a violent wind took place (ginomai), and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. |
| 2: 6 | And the sound having come (ginomai), the crowd gathered and was bewildered, because each one heard them speaking in the native language of each. |
| 2: 43 | Awe came (ginomai) upon everyone, because many wonders and signs were taking place (ginomai) the apostles. |
| 4: 4 | But many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of men became (ginomai) about five thousand. |
| 4: 5 | It came to pass (ginomai) that the next day their rulers, elders, and scribes assembled in Jerusalem, |
| 4: 11 | This Jesus is 'the stone that was rejected by you, the builders; it has become (ginomai) the cornerstone.' |
| 4: 16 | They said, "What will we do with them? For it is obvious to all who live in Jerusalem that a notable sign took place (ginomai) through them; we cannot deny it. |
| 4: 21 | After threatening them again, they let them go, finding no way to punish them because of the people, for all of them praised God for what had happened (ginomai). |
| 4: 22 | For the man on whom this sign of healing took place (ginomai) was more than forty years old. |
| 4: 28 | to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place (ginomai). |
| 4: 30 | while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are taking place (ginomai) through the name of your holy servant Jesus." |
| 5: 5 | Now when Ananias heard these words, he fell down and died. And great fear happened (ginomai) to all who heard of it. |
| 5: 7 | After an interval of about three hours his wife came in, not knowing what had happened (ginomai). |
| 5: 7 | After an interval of about three hours his wife came in, not knowing what had happened (ginomai). |
| 5: 11 | And great fear happened (ginomai) to the whole church and all who heard of these things. |
| 5: 12 | Now many signs and wonders took place (ginomai) among the people through the apostles. And they were all together in Solomon's Portico. |
| 5: 24 | Now when the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these words, they were perplexed about them, wondering what might be taking place (ginomai). |
| 5: 36 | For some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and a number of men, about four hundred, joined him; but he was killed, and all who followed him were dispersed and became (ginomai) nothing. |
| 6: 1 | Now during those days, when the disciples were increasing in number, complains took place (ginomai) among the Hellenists against the Hebrews because their widows were being neglected in the daily distribution of food. |
| 7: 13 | On the second visit Joseph made himself known to his brothers, and Joseph's family became (ginomai) known to Pharaoh. |
| 7: 29 | When he heard this, Moses fled and became (ginomai) a resident alien in the land of Midian. There he begat two sons. |
| 7: 31 | When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight; and as he approached to look, there came (ginomai) the voice of the Lord: |
| 7: 32 | 'I am the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.' Moses became (ginomai) trembling and did not dare to look. |
| 7: 38 | He is the one who happened (ginomai) to be in the congregation in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him at Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors; and he received living oracles to give to us. |
| 7: 39 | Our ancestors were unwilling to become (ginomai) obedient to him; instead, they pushed him aside, and in their hearts they turned back to Egypt, |
| 7: 40 | saying to Aaron, 'Make gods for us who will lead the way for us; as for this Moses who led us out from the land of Egypt, we do not know what has happened (ginomai) to him.' |
| 7: 52 | Which of the prophets did your ancestors not persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, and now you have become (ginomai) his betrayers and murderers. |
| 8: 1 | And Saul approved of their killing him. On that day a severe persecution took place (ginomai) against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout the countryside of Judea and Samaria. |
| 8: 8 | So there a great joy took place (ginomai) in that city. |
| 8: 13 | Even Simon himself believed. After being baptized, he stayed constantly with Philip and was amazed when he saw the signs and great miracles that took place (ginomai). |
| 9: 3 | Now it came to pass (ginomai) that, as he was going along and approaching Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. |
| 9: 19 | and after taking some food, he regained his strength. It came to pass (ginomai) that, for several days, he was with the disciples in Damascus, |
| 9: 32 | Now it came to pass (ginomai) that, as Peter went here and there among all the believers, he came down also to the saints living in Lydda. |
| 9: 37 | It came to pass (ginomai) that at that time she became ill and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in a room upstairs. |
| 9: 42 | This became (ginomai) known throughout Joppa, and many believed in the Lord. |
| 9: 43 | It came to pass (ginomai) that meanwhile he stayed in Joppa for some time with a certain Simon, a tanner. |
| 10: 4 | He stared at him and became (ginomai) terrified, he said, "What is it, Lord?" He answered, "Your prayers and your alms have ascended as a memorial before God. |
| 10: 10 | It came to pass (ginomai) that he became hungry and wanted something to eat; and it came to pass (ginomai) that while it was being prepared, he fell into a trance. |
| 10: 13 | Then a voice happened (ginomai), saying, "Get up, Peter; kill and eat." |
| 10: 16 | This happened (ginomai) three times, and the thing was suddenly taken up to heaven. |
| 10: 25 | It came to pass (ginomai) that on Peter's arrival Cornelius met him, and falling at his feet, worshiped him. |
| 10: 37 | You know the message that appeared (ginomai) throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John announced: |
| 10: 40 | but God raised him on the third day and allowed him to become (ginomai) manifest, |
| 11: 10 | This happened (ginomai) three times; then everything was pulled up again to heaven. |
| 11: 19 | Now those who were scattered because of the persecution that took place (ginomai) over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, and they spoke the word to no one except Jews. |
| 11: 26 | and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it came to pass (ginomai) that it was that for an entire year they met with the church and taught a great many people, and it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called "Christians." |
| 11: 28 | One of them named Agabus stood up and predicted by the Spirit that there would be a severe famine over all the world; and this took place (ginomai) during the reign of Claudius. |
| 12: 5 | While Peter was kept in prison, the prayer of the Church had become (ginomai) relentless for him to God. |
| 12: 9 | Peter went out and followed him; he did not realize that what was happening (ginomai) with the angel's help was real; he thought he was seeing a vision. |
| 12: 11 | Then Peter having become (ginomai) himself and said, "Now I am sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hands of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting." |
| 12: 18 | When morning came, there was no small commotion among the soldiers over what had become (ginomai) of Peter. |
| 12: 18 | Morning having come (ginomai), there was no small commotion among the soldiers over what had become (ginomai) of Peter. |
| 12: 23 | And immediately, because he had not given the glory to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and having become (ginomai) eaten by worms and died. |
| 13: 5 | Having come (ginomai) at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. And they had John also to assist them. |
| 13: 12 | When the proconsul saw what had happened (ginomai), he believed, for he was astonished at the teaching about the Lord. |
| 13: 32 | And we bring you the good news, the promise being made (ginomai) to our ancestors. |
| 14: 1 | It came to pass (ginomai) that the same thing occurred in Iconium, where Paul and Barnabas went into the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks became believers. |
| 14: 3 | So they remained for a long time, speaking boldly for the Lord, who testified to the word of his grace by granting signs and wonders to be done (ginomai) through them. |
| 14: 5 | And it came to pass (ginomai) that when an attempt was made by both Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to mistreat them and to stone them, |
| 15: 2 | And no small dissension and debate having taken place (ginomai) with them by Paul and Barnabas, Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to discuss this question with the apostles and the elders. |
| 15: 7 | An extensive debate having taken place (ginomai), Peter stood up and said to them, "My brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you, that I should be the one through whom the Gentiles would hear the message of the good news and become believers. |
| 15: 25 | Having become (ginomai) unanimous, we have decided to choose representatives and send them to you, along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, |
| 15: 39 | It came to pass (ginomai) that the disagreement became so sharp that they parted company; Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus. |
| 16: 16 | It came to pass (ginomai) that one day, as we were going to the place of prayer, we met a slavegirl who had a spirit of divination and brought her owners a great deal of money by fortune-telling. |
| 16: 26 | Suddenly an earthquake took place (ginomai), so violent that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were unfastened. |
| 16: 27 | Having become (ginomai) awaken, the jailer saw the prison doors wide open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, since he supposed that the prisoners had escaped. |
| 16: 29 | The jailer called for lights, and rushing in, having become (ginomai) trembling, he fell down before Paul and Silas. |
| 16: 35 | Morining having come (ginomai), the magistrates sent the police, saying, "Let those men go." |
| 19: 1 | It came to pass (ginomai) that while Apollos was in Corinth, Paul passed through the interior regions and came to Ephesus, where he found some disciples. |
| 19: 10 | This happened (ginomai) for two years, so that all the residents of Asia, both Jews and Greeks, heard the word of the Lord. |
| 19: 17 | When this became (ginomai) known to all residents of Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks, everyone was awestruck; and the name of the Lord Jesus was praised. |
| 19: 21 | Now after these things had been accomplished, Paul resolved in the Spirit to go through Macedonia and Achaia, and then to go on to Jerusalem. He said, "After I have gone (ginomai) there, I must also see Rome." |
| 19: 23 | It came to pass (ginomai) that about that time no little disturbance broke out concerning the Way. |
| 19: 26 | You also see and hear that not only in Ephesus but in almost the whole of Asia this Paul has persuaded and drawn away a considerable number of people by saying that things made (ginomai) through hands are not gods. |
| 19: 28 | When they heard this, they became (ginomai) enraged and shouted, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!" |
| 19: 34 | But when they recognized that he was a Jew, a single voice arose (ginomai) for about two hours from all of them, shouting, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!" |
| 20: 3 | where he stayed for three months. A plot having taken place (ginomai) against him by the Jews when he was about to set sail for Syria, the idea came (ginomai) to return through Macedonia. |
| 20: 16 | For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus, so that it didn't happen (ginomai) to him to spend time in Asia; he was eager to arrive (ginomai) in Jerusalem, if possible, on the day of Pentecost. |
| 20: 18 | When they came to him, he said to them: "You yourselves know how I have been (ginomai) among you the entire time from the first day that I set foot in Asia, |
| 20: 37 | Everyone among them all became (ginomai) weeping; they embraced Paul and kissed him, |
| 21: 1 | It came to pass (ginomai) that when we had parted from them and set sail, we came by a straight course to Cos, and the next day to Rhodes, and from there to Patara. |
| 21: 5 | It came to pass (ginomai) that when our days there were ended, we left and proceeded on our journey; and all of them, with wives and children, escorted us outside the city. There we knelt down on the beach and prayed |
| 21: 14 | Since he would not be persuaded, we remained silent except to say, "The Lord's will be done (ginomai)." |
| 21: 17 | Having come (ginomai) in Jerusalem, the brothers welcomed us warmly. |
| 21: 30 | Then all the city was aroused, and a rushing together of the people took place (ginomai). They seized Paul and dragged him out of the temple, and immediately the doors were shut. |
| 21: 35 | It came to pass (ginomai) that when Paul came to the steps, the violence of the mob was so great that he had to be carried by the soldiers. |
| 21: 40 | When he had given him permission, Paul stood on the steps and motioned to the people for silence; and a great hush having taken place (ginomai), he addressed them in the Hebrew language, saying: |
| 22: 6 | " It came to pass (ginomai) that while I was on my way and approaching Damascus, about noon a great light from heaven suddenly shone about me. |
| 22: 17 | " It came to pass (ginomai) that after I had returned to Jerusalem and while I was praying in the temple, I fell into a trance |
| 23: 7 | When he said this, a dissension took place (ginomai) between the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and the assembly was divided. |
| 23: 9 | Then a great clamor took place (ginomai), and certain scribes of the Pharisees' group stood up and contended, "We find nothing wrong with this man. What if a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?" |
| 23: 10 | The dissension having become (ginomai) violent, the tribune, fearing that they would tear Paul to pieces, ordered the soldiers to go down, take him by force, and bring him into the barracks. |
| 23: 12 | Morning having come (ginomai), the Jews joined in a conspiracy and bound themselves by an oath neither to eat nor drink until they had killed Paul. |
| 24: 2 | When Paul had been summoned, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying: "Your Excellency, because of you we have long enjoyed peace, and reforms have been made (ginomai) for this people because of your foresight. |
| 24: 25 | And as he discussed justice, self-control, and the coming judgment, Felix became (ginomai) frightened and said, "Go away for the present; when I have an opportunity, I will send for you." |
| 25: 15 | About him, having come (ginomai) in Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews informed me about him and asked for a sentence against him. |
| 25: 26 | But I have nothing definite to write to our sovereign about him. Therefore I have brought him before all of you, and especially before you, King Agrippa, so that, the examination having taken place (ginomai), I may have something to write |
| 26: 4 | "What my life has been like since I was young, what I have become (ginomai) from the start within my nation, in Jerusalem itself, all Jews know that.. |
| 26: 6 | And now I stand here on trial on account of my hope in the promise made (ginomai) by God to our ancestors, |
| 26: 19 | "After that, King Agrippa, I did not become (ginomai) disobedient to the heavenly vision, |
| 26: 22 | To this day I have had help from God, and so I stand here, testifying to both small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said would take place (ginomai): |
| 26: 29 | Paul replied, "Whether quickly or not, I pray to God that not only you but also all who are listening to me today might become (ginomai) such as I am - except for these chains." |
| 27: 7 | We sailed slowly for a number of days and arrived (ginomai) with difficulty off Cnidus, and as the wind was against us, we sailed under the lee of Crete off Salmone. |
| 27: 16 | By running under the lee of a small island called Cauda we were scarcely able to become (ginomai) in full command over the skiff. |
| 27: 27 | When the fourteenth night had come (ginomai), as we were drifting across the sea of Adria, about midnight the sailors suspected that they were nearing land. |
| 27: 29 | Fearing that we might run on the rocks, they let down four anchors from the stern and prayed for day to come (ginomai). |
| 27: 33 | Until that day was about to come (ginomai), Paul urged all of them to take some food, saying, "Today is the fourteenth day that you have been in suspense and remaining without food, having eaten nothing. |
| 27: 36 | Then all of them became (ginomai) encouraged and took food for themselves. |
| 27: 39 | When the morning has come (ginomai) they did not recognize the land, but they noticed a bay with a beach, on which they planned to run the ship ashore, if they could. |
| 27: 42 | An idea of the soldiers happened (ginomai) to be to kill the prisoners, so that none might swim away and escape; |
| 27: 44 | and the rest to follow, some on planks and others on pieces of the ship. And so it was that all arrived (ginomai) safely to land. |
| 28: 6 | They were expecting him to swell up or drop dead, but after they had waited a long time and saw that nothing unusual had happened (ginomai) to him, they changed their minds and began to say that he was a god. |
| 28: 8 | It came to pass (ginomai) that the father of Publius lay sick in bed with fever and dysentery. Paul visited him and cured him by praying and putting his hands on him. |
| 28: 9 | This having taken place (ginomai), the rest of the people on the island who had diseases also came and were cured. |
| 28: 17 | It came to pass (ginomai) that three days later he called together the local leaders of the Jews. When they had assembled, he said to them, "Brothers, though I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our ancestors, yet I was arrested in Jerusalem and handed over to the Romans. |
1 John
| 1: 16 | "Friends, the scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit through David foretold concerning Judas, having become (ginomai) a guide for those who arrested Jesus |
2 John
| 1: 12 | Although I have much to write to you, I would rather not use paper and ink; instead I hope to come (ginomai) to you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete. |
3 John
| 1: 8 | Therefore we ought to support such people, so that we may become (ginomai) co-workers with the truth. |
