Verb eulogeō (to bless) in the Gospels-Acts

(Translation from NRSV for the New Testament with a few modifications for a more litteral meaning)


Matthew

14: 19Then he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven, and blessed (eulogeō) and broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the crowds.
21: 9The crowds that went ahead of him and that followed were shouting, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed (eulogeō) is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!"
23: 39For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed (eulogeō) is the one who comes in the name of the Lord.'"
25: 34Then the king will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, you that are blessed (eulogeō) by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
26: 26While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread, and after blessing (eulogeō) it he broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is my body."

Mark
