Verb ergazomai (to work, to perform) in the Gospels-Acts

(Translation from NRSV with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)


Matthew

7: 23Then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; go away from me, you perform (ergazomai) lawlessness.'
21: 28"What do you think? A man had two sons; he went to the first and said, 'Son, go and work (ergazomai) in the vineyard today.'
25: 16The one who had received the five talents went off at once and worked (ergazomai) with them, and made five more talents.
26: 10But Jesus, aware of this, said to them, "Why do you trouble the woman? She has performed (ergazomai) a good service for me.

Mark

14: 6But Jesus said, "Let her alone; why do you trouble her? She has performed (ergazomai) a good service for me.

Luke

13: 14But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had cured on the sabbath, kept saying to the crowd, "There are six days on which work (ergazomai) ought to be done; come on those days and be cured, and not on the sabbath day."

John
