Verb epimenō (to say) in the Gospels-Acts

John

8: 7When they stayed (epimenō) there questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her."

Acts

10: 48So he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they invited him to stay (epimenō) for several days.
12: 16Meanwhile Peter stayed (epimenō) there knocking; and when they opened the gate, they saw him and were amazed.
21: 4We looked up the disciples and stayed (epimenō) there for seven days. Through the Spirit they told Paul not to go on to Jerusalem.
