Verb enneuō (to express by a sign) in the Bible

(Translation from NRSV for the New Testament and Brenton for the Septuagint with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)

Luke

1: 62Then they began to express by signs (enneuō) to his father to find out what name he wanted to give him.

Proverb (LXX)

6: 13And the same winks (enneuō) with the eye, and makes a sign with his foot, and teaches with the beckonings of his fingers.
10: 10He that winks (enneuō) with his eyes deceitfully, procures griefs for men; but he that reproves boldly is a peacemaker.
