Adjective asphalēs (sure) in the Gospels-Acts
(Translation from NRSV with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)
Acts
| 21: 34 | Some in the crowd shouted one thing, some another; and as he could not learn the sure (asphalēs) things because of the uproar, he ordered him to be brought into the barracks. |
| 22: 30 | Since he wanted to find out the sure (asphalēs) things Paul was being accused of by the Jews, the next day he released him and ordered the chief priests and the entire council to meet. He brought Paul down and had him stand before them. |
| 25: 26 | But I have nothing sure (asphalēs) to write to our sovereign about him. Therefore I have brought him before all of you, and especially before you, King Agrippa, so that, after we have examined him, I may have something to write |
