Matthew

16: 24Then Jesus told his disciples, "If any want to become my followers, let them deny (aparneomai) themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
26: 34Jesus said to him, "Truly I tell you, this very night, before the cock crows, you will deny (aparneomai) me three times."
26: 35Peter said to him, "Even though I must die with you, I will not deny (aparneomai) you." And so said all the disciples.
26: 75Then Peter remembered what Jesus had said: "Before the cock crows, you will deny (aparneomai) me three times." And he went out and wept bitterly.
