Verb anankazō (to compel) in the New Testament

Matthew

14: 22Immediately he compelled (anankazō) the disciples to get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds.

Mark

6: 45Immediately he compelled (anankazō) his disciples to get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd.

Luke

14: 23Then the master said to the slave, 'Go out into the roads and lanes, and compel (anankazō) people to come in, so that my house may be filled.

Acts

26: 11By punishing them often in all the synagogues I tried to compelled (anankazō) them to blaspheme; and since I was so furiously enraged at them, I pursued them even to foreign cities.

1 Corinthians

Galatians

2: 3But even Titus, who was with me, was not compelled (anankazō) to be circumcised, though he was a Greek.
