24 but by this time the boat, battered by the waves, was far from the land, for the wind was against them.24 Meanwhile the boat, already a few miles offshore, was being tossed about by the waves, for the wind was against it. 24 But the boat was now in the midst of the sea, distressed by the waves; for the wind was contrary.24 while the boat, by now far out on the lake, was battling with a heavy sea, for there was a head wind.24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them and said, "Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid."27 At once [Jesus] spoke to them, "Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid." 27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.27 But at once Jesus called out to them, saying, "Courage ! It is I! Do not be afraid."27 But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28 Peter answered him, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water."28 Peter said to him in reply, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water." 28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto the upon the waters.28 It was Peter who answered. "Lord," he said, "if it is you, tell me to come to you across the water."28 "Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
29 He said, "Come." So Peter got out of the boat, started walking on the water, and came toward Jesus.29 He said, "Come." Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water toward Jesus. 29 And he said, Come. And Peter went down from the boat, and walked upon the waters to come to Jesus.29 "Come," said Jesus. Then Peter got out of the boat and started walking toward Jesus across the water,29 "Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he noticed the strong wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!"30 But when he saw how [strong] the wind was he became frightened; and, beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!" 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me.30 but as soon as he felt the force of the wind, he took fright and began to sink. "Lord ! Save me!" he cried.30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
31 Jesus immediately reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?"31 Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and took hold of him, and saith unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?31 Jesus put out his hand at once and held him. "Man of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth [his] hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
32 When they got into the boat, the wind ceased.32 After they got into the boat, the wind died down. 32 And when they were gone up into the boat, the wind ceased.32 And as they got into the boat the wind dropped.32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
33 And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God." 33 Those who were in the boat did him homage, saying, "Truly, you are the Son of God."33 And they that were in the boat worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. 33 The men in the boat bowed down before him and said, "Truly, you are the Son of God."33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God." 33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
