Verb typtō (to strike) in the Gospels-Acts

(Translation from NRSV with a few modifications for a more literal meaning)

Matthew

24: 49and he begins to strike (typtō) his fellow slaves, and eats and drinks with drunkards,
27: 30They spat on him, and took the reed and struck (typtō) him on the head.

Mark

15: 19They struck (typtō) his head with a reed, spat upon him, and knelt down in homage to him.

Luke

6: 29If anyone strikes (typtō) you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from anyone who takes away your coat do not withhold even your shirt.
12: 45But if that slave says to himself, 'My master is delayed in coming,' and if he begins to strike (typtō) the other slaves, men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk,
18: 13But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even look up to heaven, but was striking (typtō) his breast and saying, 'God, be merciful to me, a sinner!'

Acts
