Verb pauō (to cease) in the Gospels-Acts

Luke

5: 4When he had ceased (pauō) speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch."
8: 24They went to him and woke him up, shouting, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" And he woke up and rebuked the wind and the raging waves; they ceased (pauō), and there was a calm.
11: 1He was praying in a certain place, and after he had ceased (pauō), one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples."

Acts

5: 42And every day in the temple and at home they did not cease (pauō) to teach and proclaim Jesus as the Messiah.
6: 13They set up false witnesses who said, "This man never cease (pauō) saying things against this holy place and the law;
13: 10and said, "You son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and villainy, will you not cease (pauō) making crooked the straight paths of the Lord?
20: 1After the uproar had ceased (pauō), Paul sent for the disciples; and after encouraging them and saying farewell, he left for Macedonia.
20: 31Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease (pauō) night or day to warn everyone with tears.
