The adverb epanō (over) in the New Testament

Matthew

2: 9When they had heard the king, they set out; and there, ahead of them, went the star that they had seen at its rising, until it stopped over (epanō) the place where the child was.
5: 14"You are the light of the world. A city built on (epanō) a hill cannot be hid.
21: 7they brought the donkey and the colt, and put their cloaks on them, and he sat on (epanō) them.
