Adverb pōs (How) in John

(Translation from NRSV for the New Testament with a few modifications for a more litteral meaning)

3: 4Nicodemus said to him, "How (pōs) can anyone be born after having grown old? Can one enter a second time into the mother's womb and be born?"
3: 9Nicodemus said to him, "How (pōs) can these things be?"
3: 12If I have told you about earthly things and you do not believe, how (pōs) can you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?
4: 9The Samaritan woman said to him, "How (pōs) is it that you, a Jew, ask a drink of me, a woman of Samaria?" (Jews do not share things in common with Samaritans.)
5: 44How (pōs) can you believe when you accept glory from one another and do not seek the glory that comes from the one who alone is God?
5: 47But if you do not believe what he wrote, how (pōs) will you believe what I say?"
6: 42They were saying, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How (pōs) can he now say, 'I have come down from heaven'?"
