The noun phōs (light) in the Gospels-Acts

Matthew

4: 16the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light (phōs), and for those who sat in the region and shadow of death light (phōs) has dawned."
5: 14"You are the light (phōs) of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid.

Acts

1 John

1: 5This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light (phōs) and in him there is no darkness at all.
1: 7but if we walk in the light (phōs) as he himself is in the light (phōs), we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
2: 8Yet I am writing you a new commandment that is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light (phōs) is already shining.
2: 9Whoever says, "I am in the light (phōs)," while hating a brother or sister, is still in the darkness.
2: 10Whoever loves a brother or sister lives in the light (phōs), and in such a person there is no cause for stumbling.
