Noun phobos (fear) in the New testament

(Translation from NRSV with a few modifications for a more litteral meaning)


Legend:
Pink color: phobos = synonymous with respect and reverence
Green color: phobos = daunting fear that can shatter one's freedom
Blue color: phobos = shudder or turmoil at an unusual event
Red color: phobos = fear and terror in the face of a threatening reality

Matthew

14: 26But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out in fear (phobos).
28: 4For fear (phobos) of him the guards shook and became like dead men.
28: 8So they left the tomb quickly with fear (phobos) and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples.
