Verb dechomai (to welcome, receive, take) in the New Testament

Matthew

10: 14If anyone will not welcome (dechomai) you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet as you leave that house or town.
10: 40"Whoever welcomes (dechomai) you welcomes (dechomai) me, and whoever welcomes (dechomai) me welcomes (dechomai) the one who sent me.
10: 41Whoever welcomes (dechomai) a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet's reward; and whoever welcomes (dechomai) a righteous person in the name of a righteous person will receive the reward of the righteous;
11: 14and if you are willing to welcome (dechomai) it, he is Elijah who is to come.
18: 5Whoever welcomes (dechomai) one such child in my name welcomes (dechomai) me.

Mark

2 Thessalonians

2: 10and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they did not welcome (dechomai) the love of truth and so be saved.

Philippians

4: 18I have been paid in full and have more than enough; I am fully satisfied, now that I have received (dechomai) from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God.

1 Corinthians

2: 14Those who are unspiritual do not welcome (dechomai) the gifts of God's Spirit, for they are foolishness to them, and they are unable to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

6: 1As we work together with him, we urge you also not to welcome (dechomai) the grace of God in vain.
